Blackboard Mobile App Soon to be Available for all iOS and Android Devices
Posted on: Monday, September 10, 2012
Great news! The Blackboard Mobile Learn app will soon be available for ALL iOS and Android users, like myself! Sometime in mid-September (stay tuned) you will be able to use your iPhone®, iPad®, iPod touch®, and Android® devices on any carrier or network to access grades, assignments, discussions, and much more.
The Blackboard Mobile Learn app is available via these options: price is
$1.99* for 1 year of access
$5.99* for unlimited access
You can find the app by searching for “Blackboard Mobile Learn” in the App Store or Google Play store.

FAQ
I currently have a free version of Blackboard Mobile Learn. Do I have to start paying for it on September 10th?
Yes. Blackboard is discontinuing the free version of Mobile Learn. If you have been using the No Cost option, and wish to continue using Blackboard Mobile Learn after September 10th, you’ll be prompted within your app to buy a license for the introductory price of $1.99* per year, or a one-time fee of $5.99*.
Why did Blackboard stop offering a free version?
The free version was only available to a limited number of students who used Sprint as the network for their mobile devices. By switching to a licensed version, Blackboard is able to make the app available to students outside the Sprint network and on a wider variety of devices.
The full FAQ is available via Blackboard’s web site. You can also learn more by viewing product demos for Android, iPhone/iPod, and iPad. Be sure to follow @Bb_Mobile and @BbMobileSupport for updates!
*Plus any applicable taxes.

Subscription fees for the use of Blackboard Mobile Learn are determined by Blackboard and all proceeds from the fees go to Blackboard. Ottawa University does not charge for use of the mobile service and does not benefit from the fees charged to users of Blackboard Mobile Learn.
